Use Windows 7 remote desktop to help your family repair their computers

Although you can teach your parents to use computers, when a computer problem occurs, they will be helpless, even if it is just a small problem in the system. At this time, you should be glad that the Windows 7 computer was purchased for your parents, because the Remote Desktop in Windows 7 can be used to enable or access the Internet as long as the problematic computer can be started, even if you are at work, you can solve the problem for them.

Remote Desktop can be connected to two Win7 computers over the network, and one of them can also perform any operations on the other, including opening programs, browsing folders, and so on, just like using your own computer.

Before establishing a Remote Desktop Connection, you must first know the IP address of your parents. If your home is a residential broadband or other fixed IP address access method, you can remember the IP address of the home network in advance, or ask your parents to check the contract or agreement when installing the network, there will be a record of the IP address above; if your home is an Internet access method with non-fixed IP addresses such as ADSL dialing, you have to teach your parents how to view the IP addresses of their computers. Querying IP addresses may be complicated for parents. Don't worry, but they can do it slowly.

 

First, ask your parents to click the "Network Connection" icon in the lower-right corner of the screen, and then click the words "Open Network and sharing center" at the bottom of the pop-up window.

Next, in the "Network and sharing center" window, click the connection name next to the "connection" in the middle to open the connection status.

In the connection Status dialog box, click "details ". A string of numbers next to "IPv4 address" in the details box is the IP address. After finding the number, ask your parents to read it to you.

Now, after you get the IP address, the operation on your side will be very simple. Similarly, click the start button and enter "Remote Desktop" in the search box to find the "Remote Desktop Connection" function and click and open it.

In the text box on the right of "computer", enter the IP address of your parents and click "Connect.

After you connect to a remote computer, the system will prompt you to enter the password of the other computer. After you enter the correct password, click "OK" to start operating your parents' computer!

Remote Desktop is included in all versions of Windows 7, but only computers running Windows 7 Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition, and Enterprise Edition can be connected.
