Use Windows Super Terminal to debug modem and serial port.
The Super Terminal is a serial port debugging tool provided by windows. It is easy to use and widely used in the Basic Debugging of Serial Port Devices.

1. Attachment/communication/Super Terminal. In the naming connection dialog box, click "cancel"

2. "properties/settings/ASCII code Settings" under the file. Check and display the locally typed characters.

The following describes the general steps:

To configure the connection, you need to debug the basic parameters of the comport or modem. The operation is as follows:

1) Select the "properties" menu item under "file"
2) configure the serial port connected to the debugging device to "use during connection" and select a comport or modem.
3) press the "Configure" button to configure the selected serial port information, and select parameters such as the number of bits per second (baud rate) in sequence. Generally, after the modem sets the baud rate, the other bits are set by default. Are you sure you want to exit the configuration?
6) connect the device to be debugged by pressing the "call" button on the toolbar.
7) enter the English letter at and press Enter. If it is set correctly, the English letter OK is returned.
8) If the parameter settings are incorrect, the system prompts that the connection fails or the at letter cannot be entered after the connection. In this case, check that the serial port is correctly selected in step 2. Make sure that the baud rate settings are correct.
