Faced with Vista's unfavourable market conditions, Microsoft's new generation of operating system Windows 7 has entered the internal testing phase. For a period of time using Windows 7, the author feels most deeply that Microsoft is paying more attention to details. Here's a quick talk about your Windows 7 usage experience.
1, window switching more convenient
As with previous systems, there is a Quick launch area near the Start menu by default, but there is a "Switch between Windows" in this area of Windows 7, in addition to a shortcut named Show Desktop (showing the desktop) ( Window switch) shortcut. Click the shortcut to eject the panel, as shown in Figure 1, so that the user can choose to get the focus of a program's window. In addition, when moving to an icon, it shows the physical path of its corresponding program and it runs with that user. The function of this shortcut is equivalent to using the "ALT + TAB" key combination in other systems, but making it a shortcut is certainly easier to operate, which should be considered a detail in Windows 7. In addition, the author found that in the Windows 7 taskbar on the rightmost side of a small box, click on its effect and "show desktop", which is a small detail. (Figure 1)
2, the Task window provides a preview
Windows 7 allows you to preview open windows in the taskbar, which makes it easy for users to select the application window in the taskbar that they want to operate from in multiple windows from an open window through the preview feature. However, by default, Windows 7 turns off the feature. Simply open the Taskbar's Properties window and check "use Desktop Preview" under Desktop Preview. That way, when we move the mouse over a task in the taskbar, the corresponding window is displayed in a slightly indented form, as shown in Figure 2. This is very similar to the ability to display a thumbnail of an open window in IE 8, which is also considered a detail for users in Windows 7. (Figure 2)
3, the beauty of the details of the calculator
The calculator is a standard add-on to Windows, and Microsoft has upgraded it to a more powerful feature in Windows 7, while fully considering the user's usage habits. The new calculator provides a richer computational model, with the exception of the original standard, scientific model and other models, but also provides a statistical, programmatic type of two modes. In addition, some intimate features are also provided. For example, in the calculation process, if you find that the wrong number entered, you can use the "edit" button to re-enter, the modified results will be recalculated to ensure the accuracy of the data calculation. The calculator also added date calculation, template calculation, unit conversion, you can calculate the number of days between two dates, engineering estimates, angle, area, time, temperature and other units of conversion between. (Figure 3)
4. Swim in multiple time zones
If you have friends abroad, want to chat but missed the time, like watching foreign sports programs but missed the play time, often go abroad have to change the system time zone. Microsoft seems to have taken this into account, with up to 3 time zones set up in Windows 7 to solve the problem, which, of course, can be seen as Microsoft's details in Windows 7. Users simply double-click the clock area in the taskbar and add settings in the Open panel. In addition to the local clock, you can add two clocks and set a different time zone, respectively. In this way, there are three time zones in a system. (Figure 4)
