What to do if Windows delays write failures

Sometimes after the computer suddenly power off or forced shutdown, our desktop in the lower right corner will continue to pop-up "Windows delay Write Failed" prompts, and even some applications are not functioning properly. So what happens when you encounter a Windows deferred write failure?

In most cases, a Windows deferred write failure occurs only because files that are deferred are corrupted when a sudden power outage or forced shutdown, which is typically a temporary file during software operation. We can try to use the Golden Hill defender's garbage clean-up function, not only can solve most of these problems, but also can save system resources.

Open the Golden Hill Guardian, click on the top of the garbage cleanup icon, click the "Scan the garbage" button and after scanning for clean-up operations on it.

Sometimes, however, a corrupted file that causes Windows to delay write failures is more than just caching files, which requires us to fix the disk file system. The way to do this is to first remember the hard disk partition letter that went wrong. Open Start-run, input cmd, enter, open command Line window, enter chkdsk/r C: Command (change C: to error letter). When a carriage return appears, "Do you plan to check this volume on the next system reboot?" (y/n) ", enter Y return. Restart your computer. After reboot, the disk self-test process will appear, do not press the button, wait for self test to complete.

In addition, we recommend that the write cache be turned off to prevent Windows from delaying write failures. Because of the current mainstream computer configuration, the significance of this function is not enough, but also caused by hard disk frequently read and write, resulting in fragmentation and reduce hard disk life. The specific way is to open My computer, right click on the C disk-Properties, click on the "Hardware" tab-Properties-Policy, cancel the "Enable write cache on disk" checkbox before the check box.

Attempting to delete an error file is also a way to resolve windows deferred write failures, which can temporarily resolve accidental error situations.

However, Windows deferred write failures may also be caused by a hard drive bad path. If the computer does not have the symptom frequently to appear this kind of problem, also cannot solve by the above method, the suggestion uses the hard disk bad track detection tool (for example HD tune, mhdd, pqmagic and so on) carries on the detection. For bad-track hard drives, although they can still be used after blocking, be careful to back up the data and replace it if necessary.
