Which services can be switched off in Win7?

During our daily use of computers, many services and processes in Win7 are unavailable. These services and processes not only occupy a large part of the resources, it also affects the system running speed and security. Can we close the uncommon services and processes to speed up system operation? Generally, users may not know which services can be closed and which are not. The following describes the services that can be closed in Win7.

How to view the service in Win7: Click start -- run -- enter services. msc -- enter.
1. Application Management
This service is mainly applicable to centralized management in a large enterprise environment. It does not affect normal users. By default, the system uses the "Manual" mode. It must be triggered before running. It does not matter if it is not set.
2. Background Intelligent Transfer Service
Transmit data between the client and the server in the background. If BITS is disabled, some functions, such as Windows Update, cannot run normally. The default running mode of this service is automatic. If you do not use Windows Updata to update your system, you can disable it, and vice versa;
3. Adaptive brightness
Monitor the surrounding light conditions to adjust the screen brightness. If this service is disabled, the screen brightness will not automatically adapt to the surrounding light conditions. The default running mode of this service is manual. If you do not use a device that intelligently adjusts the screen brightness such as a touch screen, this function can be safely disabled.
4. Application Layer Gateway Service
The system comes with a firewall and enables the dependency service for ICS shared Internet access. If a third-party firewall is installed and you do not need to use ICS shared Internet access, you can disable it. This service also exists in XP/Vista, functions are the same.
5. Base Filtering Engine
It also provides dependency services for system firewalls, VPNs, and IPsec, and also provides system security services. If a third-party VPN dialing software is used and the system firewall and ICS are not used to share the Internet access, close it. Otherwise, stop it.
6. BitLocker Drive Encryption Service
Provides BitLocker Client Services to user interfaces and automatically unlocks data volumes. The default running mode of this service is manual. If you do not use the BitLocker device, this function can be disabled with ease.

This service provides the Certificate Service for smart cards. It is manual by default. If you do not use a smart card, you can disable it. However, manual authentication does not cause problems.
8. CNG Key Isolation
The CNG key isolation service host is in the LSA process. As required by general principles, this service provides key process isolation for private keys and related encryption operations. This service stores and uses the key with a long lifetime in a security process that is consistent with general principles. We recommend that you disable automatic wired network configuration and wireless network configuration.
9. Computer Browser
It is a service item used in the LAN to automatically search for network neighbors. If you do not use the LAN, this service item can be completely disabled.

Similar to Diagnostic Policy Service/Diagnostic Service Host, you can disable it together.
15. Distributed Link Tracking Client:
Enable the client program to track the movement of linked files, including moving within the same NTFS Volume, moving to another NTFS on the same computer, or NTFS on another computer. If this service is disabled, links on this computer will not be maintained or tracked. If this service is disabled, any service dependent on it cannot be enabled. After testing, this function is only available in the domain environment, if your win7 system is not in a bad domain, you can disable it.
16. Distributed Transaction Coordinator
Many applications, SQL, Exchange Biztalk, and other server software depend on this service. By default, this service is manual and generally disabled.
17. Extensible Authentication Protocol

19. Function Discovery Provider Host
FDPHOST service bearer function discovery (FD) network discovery provider. These FD providers provide network discovery services for Simple Service Discovery protocols (SSDP) and Web Service Discovery (WS-D) protocols. Stopping or disabling the FDPHOST service when you use FD will disable network discovery for these protocols. When this service is unavailable, network services that use FD and rely on these discovery protocols cannot find network services or resources. PnP-X is related to SSDP. Disable it if no related device exists.
20. Function Discovery Resource Publication
PnP-X is related to SSDP. If no related device is available, disable it.
21. HomeGroup Listener
Provides a receiving service for a home group. This service runs manually by default. If you do not use a home group to share images, videos, and documents, this service can be disabled.

The Service is also for the home group, which is the same as 21. If you do not use the home group, you can disable it.

32. Link-Layer Topology Discovery Mapper
Create a network ing, which consists of the topology (connection) information of the PC and the device, and the metadata that describes each PC and device. If this service is disabled, the network ing will not work properly.
It should support LLTD (LinkLayerTopologyDiscovery) technology to precisely display the locations of devices supporting LLTD in the network structure, such as Vista wireless map, and retain the default manual.
The above is the content of the services that can be closed in the Win7 system compiled by xiaobian. Through the above introduction, you can clearly disable the services that are not commonly used to optimize the system and improve the running speed.
