Win8 + centos + ubuntu (Mint) Three system notes, win8centos
This article is from: svitter's blog
I recently read an article about the stability of ubuntu and centos. I installed centos with excitement .. Then I found out with dummies .. Slot, why did I lose win8 !?
Consider that the ntfs tool is not mounted .. Separately install the win8 boot into the M reservation. After the installation, the grub2-mkconfig successfully found win8 but not updated.
Wondering ..
Later, I finally found out how to love...
Cat/boot/grub2/grub. cfg | grep Windows
Grub2-set-default "Windows 8 (loader) (on/dev/sda1 )"
Grub2-editenv list
Output:
Saved_entry = Windows 8 (loader) (on/dev/sda1)
Grub2-mkconfig-o/boot/grub2/grub. cfg
Reboot
Which system is better than CentOS, Ubuntu, and Mint?
The version you want to use depends on what you do. If you want to build a service, centos is good, stable, and highly efficient. If you want to learn how to use linux, you can install the personal version of ubuntu, although ubuntu also has a server version. As for mint, I have never touched too much.
For win7 centos ubuntu 3 System
Are you guided by grub? /Is the boot partitioned separately?
If centos boot is used, change/boot/grub/menu. lst.
Add a row
Title ubuntu
Kernel (hd0, X)/vmlinuz-'uname-R'-generic ro root =/dev/sdaY
Initrd (hd0, X)/initrd. img-'uname-R'-generic
'Uname-R' indicates the version number of the kernel file, X indicates the partition of the boot directory, and Y indicates the partition of the "/" directory.
If you use ubuntu boot, you should change the/boot/grub. cfg file. You can search for this file. The change should be similar. If you use win7 boot, you can install grub4dos and change the menu. lst file in the system disk. Consistent format
