06th-search contract:
Yesterday I introduced howProgram. Today we will introduce the search contract, and tomorrow we will share the contract. Search and sharing are two very useful contracts, because even if the program is not running, these two contracts will make your program usable, that is to say, your program can be potentially exposed to users in another way.
In the past 10 years, "Search" has become synonymous with search engines. A few years ago, the search in Windows has actually become mainstream. If you are like me, you will become very accustomed to clicking the search button and entering the program name instead of searching for the program yourself. Today, in Windows 8, you can enter the search content and the search results will be displayed in a friendly manner.
In Windows 8, search has been extended and can be added to our Windows Store apps. Now, searching is no longer mysterious. We only need to respond to a few events to display the correct content to users. Searching has changed the typical entry point to the program. Now, you do not need to open the program, and then find the search box to search, but you can enter the content through the search panel, and then directly search for the program.
