Windows Vista SP1 New Create Recovery disk feature

First, SP1 has a very significant performance enhancement and the code has been optimized. Interestingly, this SP1 still has Microsoft internal network share tags embedded with the update source code, such as:

\\winbuilds3\longhorn_SP1Beta1\longhorn_SP1Beta1

\6001.16549.070628-1825\x86fre\packages\servicepack "

Although this information is of little use to us, it is useful to understand the file layout of Microsoft's internal publishing share.

The first change is the upgrade of the version number, changing from 6.0.6000 to 6.0.6001.16549. According to the previous message, SP1 should adopt the new Vista kernel (same as Windows 2008), the 6.1 version of the kernel. This version is still 6.0, obviously not the new kernel, and perhaps the internal beta is not included.

Typically, the SP does not contain new features-windows XP SP2 is an exception. In general, Vista SP1 also includes a new maintenance program: "Create a Recovery Disc" (Creating a recovery Disk). The program can create a system recovery disk to restore the system when there is no original Windows DVD or OEM recovery tool.

The SP1 installation comes with 4 updates: KB936330, KB937286, KB937287, and KB938371.

However, these 4 patches are not in the www.vistasp1.net released patch list, which means this is a new patch. Because it is an internal version, the details of these patches are not visible. However, through the registry changes or found a bit of information (unfortunately, the author's screenshot is not clear, do not see the specific content, so skip):
