In many scenarios, certificates with multiple domain names are used. The following steps are how to request a multi-domain certificate in the MMC:
On Windows Server 2008, we can use the MMC to load the certificate component to create a multi-domain certificate request, then submit a multi-domain certificate request through the browser Access Certificate request site (certsrv), and finally import the certificate on the computer to facilitate our subsequent use.
To do this, we first need to run MMC, load the certificate component, select the local computer account, then locate the personal-Certificate, right-click the certificate, and select Create custom request from all tasks-advanced actions. As shown in the following:
Finally, the content in the generated req file is submitted to the certificate Request page to obtain the certificate.
