I use the WIN2003 Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager to create a Web site virtual directory, resulting in an error browsing the Web page, which is generally the error message:

The page cannot be displayed

You attempted to execute a CGI, ISAPI, or other executable program from a directory, but the directory does not allow programs to be executed.

Please try the following:

* If you think the directory should allow access, contact the site administrator.

HTTP Error 403.1-No access: execution access denied.

* Go to Microsoft Product Support services and search for titles including "HTTP" and "403".
* Open IIS Help (accessible in IIS Manager (inetmgr)), and then search for topics titled Configure ISAPI Extensions, configure CGI applications, use site rights protection sites, and about custom error messages.
* In the IIS Software Development Kit (SDK) or the MSDN Online Library, search for the title "Developing ISAPI Extensions", "ISAPI and CGI", and "debugging ISAPI Extensio NS and Filters "topic.

Here's how to fix it:

Click the start of the operating system → program → admin tools →interneter Server Management, select your site in IIS then right → properties, in the virtual directory options, see whether the "Execute permissions" is set to "None", this is changed to "pure script" save.

If not, then click on the "Create" button in the image above to create an application name, which is OK!
