Windows special group details

Special identifier
In addition to the groups in the "users" and "builtin" containers, servers running Windows Server 2003 also contain several special identifiers. For convenience, these identifiers are generally called groups. These special groups do not have special member identities that you can modify, but they can represent different users at different times according to the environment. These special groups are:
Anonymous Logon
Users and services that access computers and their resources over the network without using the account name, password, or domain name. On computers running Windows NT and earlier versions, the anonymous logon group is the default Member of the Everyone group. On a computer that runs members of the Windows Server 2003 family, the anonymous logon group is not a member of the Everyone group by default.

Everyone
Represents all users of the current network, including guests and users from other domains. Users are automatically added to the Everyone group whenever they log on to the network.

Network
Represents the current user who accesses a given resource through the network (not the user who accesses the resource by logging on locally to the computer where the resource is located ). Users are automatically added to the network group whenever they access a given resource through the network.

Interactive
Represents all users currently logged on to a specific computer and accessing the given resources on the computer (not users who access resources through the network ). Users are automatically added to the interactive group whenever they access the given resources on the computer currently logged on.

Although you can give a special identifier the rights and permissions of party resources, you cannot modify or view its membership identity. The Group scope does not apply to special identifiers. These special identifiers are automatically assigned whenever users log on or access special resources.
