Windows System Metasploit Installation and FAQ

First step:

Download Metasploit installation package from the official website http://www.metasploit.com/

Step Two:

Turn off antivirus software and firewalls on your host

Step Three:

If it is a windows7 system, go to the Control Panel-> area and language-> area and change the area to English (USA). Otherwise, an error occurs while installing PostgreSQL and causes the installation to not continue.

Fourth Step:

Double-click the downloaded installation file to install by default. Some friends may want to change the installation directory, make sure that the installation path is under the root of the partition, such as D:\metasploit. If you are under a level two directory, such as D:\ProgramFiles\metasploit, there will be no problems with installation, but the https://localhost:3790 page will not open when you attempt to start the Metasploit Web UI after the installation completes. I don't know the exact reason, but I don't get this kind of problem as long as I guarantee that the partition's root directory is installed.

Fifth Step:

Open the Web UI to set the username and password, note that the password must be numeric plus letter plus special characters, otherwise it cannot be set successfully. Then you register a community version of the registration code, activation on it.
