There are two things to download, one is grub4dos, and the other is Ubuntu 16.04 lts image file, as follows:

1

3
1, grub4dos click to download grub4dos

2. Ubuntu 04 Click to download Ubuntu . Geneva . ISO
Preparatory work

1, decompression Grub4dos compressed package, will get a folder named grub4dos-0.4.4, will be copied to the following files to C (where the first two files are required, after two files online some information said no need, in order to insure or put on it, anyway there is no harm ~):

1 grldr menu.lst grldr.mbr Grub.exe

2, decompression Ubuntu-16.04-desktop-i386.iso in the Casper folder below the vmlinuz and Initrd.lz to the C drive, On the net also said need to compress the package. Disk folder to the C drive, OK, do it! The Ubuntu-16.04-desktop-i386.iso file is also copied to the C drive.

When ready, your C-disk directory should have the following files, where the red box files are essential, other files are said to be not used, for the sake of insurance or, or to keep these files:

Preparation-Modification of files

1. Modify the Menu.lst file to add the following content at the end of the file

1
2
3
4
5
6
7
Title Install Ubuntu16. Geneva

Root (hd0,0)

Kernel (hd0,0)/vmlinuz boot=casper iso-scan/filename=/ubuntu-. Geneva -desktop-i386.iso LOCALE=ZH_CN. utf-8

INITRD (hd0,0)/initrd.lz

Which, after the title of the content is casually written, kernel behind the highlight is the Ubuntu16.04 image file, you need to match the file name in the C drive.

(Error 15:file not found

One reason is that the installation file has the wrong drive and the other is the filename. Ubuntu16.0432 bits of the ISO package after decompression Casper folder kernel file is vmlinuz, and 64-bit decompression after the Casper folder kernel file is vmlinuz.efi. Vmlinuz, so error. can be resolved by renaming Vmlinuz.efi to Vmlinuz)

2. Modify boot. ini, after opening the file, add the following at the end of the file

1 C:\grldr= "Ubuntu Install"

The boot. ini file is located in the C packing directory, but if you want it to be displayed, you need to set the following:
