This morning, after I uninstalled the previous ActiveSync 4.0, I installed the Chinese version of ActiveSync 4.1 a few days ago. After synchronization, I clicked IE and connected it. Pretty good, do not set any IP address on the simulator.
BTW: My environment is Visual Studio 2005 RC, SDK for Windows Mobile, and a Chinese version of simulator image. The system is Windows XP + SP2.
First, click "file" --> "connection settings" on ActiveSync and select "DMA" under "allow connections to one of the following ports", for example:
Next, follow the steps "start" --> "Internet Explorer", "go to" MSN mobile in the favorites folder, and go up, as shown in the figure on the right above.
Finally, if the webpage you want is not in the favorites folder (generally none, the system only provides a few web pages about Windows moile), you can add them as follows:
Click "favorites" in the middle to return to the "favorites" page,
Click "menu" in the lower-right corner and select "add to Favorites". In the "add to Favorites" window, enter the desired URL as follows: (you can retrieve the desired name by yourself, the current "folder" has only one "favorites" file)
Click "add", OK, return to the "favorites" window, and click the URL you just added, so that it is OK, as shown in the figure on the right. Easy, huh, huh.
The same is true for PPC, Which is simpler. Simply enter a URL in the address bar. After the PPC simulator is connected to the Internet, it is as follows:
