Method 1: Back up your startup items,
This is the simplest method. It is simple and practical. I used to do this all the time. But this time, I don't know how to think about it. I backed up all other important things before I installed it, there was no backup, so I had to find another method.
Note: backup is quite simple. Copy your startup file (in the active partition of the system, it is usually MB separately, or under drive C) to other disks .. simply move it back after installation.

The second method is to modify the Startup File by yourself and add your own Ubuntu in it. This technology is difficult for me. I only know that bcdedit is used to modify the Startup File.
The following is a reprinted message from a netizen. He wrote it in great detail. I have to study it well if I have time,

1. Restore the Ubuntu startup Item after reinstalling XP (use Ubuntu installed with wubi)
Install wubidr and wubidr In the Ubuntu-> winboot folder. copy two MBR files to the root directory of the C drive, and then use NotePad to open the boot. INI, add C:/wubildr in the last row. MBR = "ubuntu", and then save and restart. The Ubuntu startup Item is out !!!
Ii. Restore the Ubuntu startup item under Vista or Windows 7 (Ubuntu installed with wubi)
Windows 7 (Vista) does not have a boot. ini file, so the above method is not applicable. You can use bcdedit to add:
1> copy the wubidr and wubidr. MBR files in the Ubuntu-> winboot folder to the C root directory.
2> in "run", Enter cmd to the command prompt.
In the command interface bcdedit/create/D "Linux"/Application bootsector
The name entry {dbff544b-a7c4-11dd-a51d-00155803ebb4} displayed on the Multi-boot menu is successfully created.
3> copy the ID in {}, such as: dbff544b-a7c4-11dd-a51d-00155803ebb4
4> enter the following commands in sequence (Note: Replace the ID in {} with the ID obtained in step 1)
Bcdedit/set {ID} device partition = C:
Bcdedit/set {ID} path/wubildr. MBR
Bcdedit/set {ID} description "ubuntu"
Bcdedit/displayorder {ID}/addlast

This completes ..
I wish you a pleasant use of ubuntu...
