Zookeeper Installation (Windows)

Overview

Zookeeper is a full-fledged sub-project of Hadoop, a reliable coordination system for large distributed systems, with features such as configuration maintenance, name services, distributed synchronization, group services, and more. The goal of zookeeper is to encapsulate complex and error-prone services that provide users with easy-to-use interfaces and performance-efficient, robust systems.

Installation & Configuration

There are a lot of images on Apache's official website, and then find the corresponding version, here is 3.3.6

Extract the downloaded zookeeper files to the specified directory: D:\machine\zookeeper-3.3.6

Modify the Conf to add a zoo.cfg

The contents are as follows:

Go to the Bin directory and start Zkserver.cmd, this script will start a Java process

D:\MACHINE\ZOOKEEPER-3.3.6>CD bin

D:\machine\zookeeper-3.3.6\bin>

D:\machine\zookeeper-3.3.6\bin >zkserver.cmd

After startup JPs can see the quorumpeermain process

D:\machine\zookeeper-3.3.6\bin >jps

Start the client run and see for yourself

D:\machine\zookeeper-3.3.6\bin>zkcli.cmd-server 127.0.0.1:2181

This time zookeeper has been installed successfully.

The Zkserver.cmd file can be modified on a single machine when it is running through a pseudo-cluster.

Set zoocfg=. \conf\zoo1.cfg this line, save as Zkserver-1.cmd
