What is the next step in the development of the technology industry? It is clear that venture capital companies are also interested in the same issues, but for them the difference is that the right and wrong are reflected in the loss of large sums of money.

The venture capital agency, North Bridge, recently published a survey of cloud computing development. A total of 39 leading tech companies, 785 of whom have participated in the polls and discussions, have made it possible to understand how they perceive cloud computing, including: Akamai, aws, Citrix, Microsoft, Red Hat, SAP and VMware.

The details will become crucial, given that the North Bridge business is simply putting money into the place he promised.

Here's what the bridge concludes:

1. Cloud computing is relatively mature.

50% of respondents said cloud computing solutions were feasible for mission-critical business applications.

2. Scalability is the main driving force

57% of respondents said scalability was the main reason for their shift to cloud computing, followed by business agility.

3. Security issues remain the main obstacle

Cloud computing may be ripe, but its security vulnerabilities are still the main reason to hinder the development of cloud computing, followed by the implementation of standards, and again the issue of supplier bundling. 55% of respondents expressed concern about the security of cloud computing.

4. Enterprise investment in SaaS applications is highest

Up to 82% of respondents said they were using SaaS apps. Another 6% said they would start deploying SaaS within five years.

5. PAAs and IaaS inputs are also considerable

More and more people are starting to be interested in platforms, services and infrastructure and services. 40% of people who are using paas,72% will start using PAAs within the next five years, compared to 51% and 66% for IaaS users.

6. Efficiency will be the current theme

Examples of applications ranked top 5 in terms of usage are: Backup and archive (43%), Business connection inertia (25%), collaboration tool (22%), large data processing (19%).

7. Uncertain prospects for cost control issues

Only 53% per cent of respondents thought that cloud computing could lead to lower TCO and simpler it workflows.

8. Simultaneous deployment of public and private clouds

40% of people are deploying public clouds, 36% have deployed mixed clouds, and another 52% say they will develop mixed clouds within 5 years.

9. Large data can no longer be overlooked

80% of respondents believe that the development of large data and data analysis is likely to be disrupted by cloud computing.

Michael Skok, partner of North Bridge, said some of the early rain-seekers would emerge as a key factor in the reality of these cloud-computing trends as business-driven climate models ran out of equivalents.
