In May 2012, Alcatel-Lucent announced an important upgrade to the data Center Exchange solution, the Alcatel-Lucent mesh architecture, for capacity expansion for high-performance 40GigE connections across the mesh architecture. Alcatel-Lucent will significantly enhance the speed, responsiveness and flexibility of the Enterprise Data Center network to better support real-time applications with higher bandwidth requirements, such as video collaboration, virtual desktops, and growing cloud business. The Data Center Exchange solution has been honored.

To achieve the technical evolution of the mesh architecture GigE Connection, Alcatel-Lucent will increase the GigE connectivity capability for high-performance network core switches Omniswitch 10K Modular Ethernet LAN chassis, combined with "Shortest path bridging" (SPB) technology, Optimize the communication capabilities of the servers across the mesh architecture to help the enterprise transform the data center network into a private cloud, enabling it to reconfigure data center resources quickly, easily and flexibly.

In addition to the GigE connectivity expansion, the Alcatel-Lucent mesh Architecture also obtained Citrix Ready certification. The certification program is designed to help users discover and recommend Third-party solutions that enhance Citrix's network and cloud computing solutions, and ultimately provide users with a seamless experience. Alcatel-Lucent is partnering with Citrix to support the company's growing demand for mobile office experience, cloud services, and a variety of new applications delivered across wide area networks (WANs), while providing support for the introduction of virtualized desktops, reducing the burden on the network of virtualized desktops, and meet the higher requirements for infrastructure support.

"The current trend of mobile office and cloud computing technology is rapidly changing the demand for data centers and the network infrastructure is on the central stage," said Klaus Oestermann, vice president and cloud network business at Citrix Group. The industry pattern is changing rapidly, with the world's leading communications companies to work together into a new era, we feel excited. As a founding member of the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Ecosystem Initiative, Citrix's corporate customers will be able to confidently deploy a fully interoperable solution through Citrix ready certification. ”

"The demand for higher bandwidth now poses a continuing challenge to the communications industry," said Camille Janssens, DHL's ICT director. Alcatel-Lucent's new technology provides us with the ability to build highly reliable, global hub-level data centers at a time when we can easily upgrade our network speed in the future. ”
