Australia's organization in the Asia-Pacific region of the cloud import is still in the early

According to a study being carried out by Forrester Consulting, Australia's organizations are in the early days of the Asia-Pacific cloud, but are more concerned with data privacy and control than with the security of the Internet, which is what we often call cybersecurity.

The study, commissioned by VMWare, found that organizations with private and public clouds were expected to increase from 39% in 2010 to 43% in 2011. The study also found that the traditional worry about how to move the business to the cloud has become less of a concern.

"Data privacy remains one of the major hurdles in the market, and this year has replaced it as the most considered cloud focus," says John brand, director of Forrester's VP and chief analyst. Organizations are more focused on how to manage this environment than how to simply import this technology.

Duncan Bennet, managing director of VMWare, Australia and New Zealand, said one of the reasons for changing the cloud industry's maturity is that privacy laws and companies want to track data. The study shows that Australian companies are very concerned about the location of the data, and once they use cloud computing, they want to find a solution to keep the data around. Companies do not want to violate Australian privacy laws and have a clear understanding of where their data will go at any point in time.

According to Brand, the study shows that companies that import clouds face different challenges in mature industries. The first is to use virtualization technology, and the second step is usually about how to easily access the environment, now is to manage and control the environment.
