The more companies that come to store their data in the cloud as part of a hybrid storage solution (both inside and outside the enterprise), many admit that they simply cannot back up large amounts of data.

Research firm Vanson Bourne A survey of 650 it policymakers in the US, UK, France, Germany and the Netherlands, highlighting that cloud computing backup and storage is now seen as an important component of a hybrid storage environment, with about 66% of respondents saying that by 2015, They will increase the amount of data stored in the cloud environment.

In companies that already use hybrid storage systems, 66% of companies say that their primary reason for moving from old backup and recovery tools to mixed storage solutions is to improve data security. About 57% of respondents said they preferred the solution because their fast-growing key business data needed to be protected against natural disasters and theft.

But 24% of respondents admitted they did not tell the CEO that they did not back up all the files, especially those on mobile devices. The survey found that 38% of people were concerned about whether their data had been securely saved or whether the data had been backed up.

A similar survey in 2011 found that 31% of companies experienced data loss over the past 12 months, twice times the average. Companies that have experienced data loss in 2012 years have risen to 53%, a concern that seems plausible.

Evault, a data storage software company, sponsored the survey. The company's president, Terry Cunningham, has highlighted the impact of employees ' use of personal equipment in their work, as well as its impact on data growth and management issues.

The survey found that One-fifth (22%) of companies had employees who kept their company's data on their phones, and most IT Leaders (94%) were concerned about the personal and corporate data that employees used on their mobile devices.

More than Two-thirds (67%) of companies expressed concern about the security of data stored on mobile devices, while another 57% expressed concerns about legal issues stemming from the BYOD trend. (邹铮 Compilation)
