Cloud computing, now widely used in people's lives, as the number one public cloud cloud computing, its storage data is particularly obvious advantages. The cloud's flexible allocation allows access to additional storage space when needed. In such a situation, choosing a good data to make a difference from the local server is especially important. The following data types for everyone to well apply to public cloud storage.

Customer-oriented data If your company has a lot of customer-facing data, like product categories, it's good to host the data in the cloud, the so-called "keep the data close to those who need it." You can be in the cloud according to demand, according to geographical distribution or pre-distribution or according to customer needs for redundant replication.

2. Distributed access to data. Data can be accessed from several locations, especially read-only data or periodically synchronized data from one central source for the cloud. Public clouds have less physical constraints on storage, you can allocate on demand and budget, but IT managers must account for account bandwidth requirements and possible latency issues.

3. Data backup. Backing up data from the local system, such as backing up data from the desktop or enterprise data center to the cloud, is a good example of how cloud storage makes sense. Bandwidth and storage are two limiting factors; the more you deal with, the easier it is to map local data in the cloud. Retrieving data from cloud backups is tricky if it is to process megabytes of data. If extracting data from the cloud over the Internet is unlimited, let the cloud provider send you a physical copy of your data.

4. Some type of data, for some reason, is better stored in a local data center or in a private cloud. Here are some examples of data suitable for local storage.

5. Mirror data copy. In some cases, replicas of mirror data are considered "reverse backup." Replicas of data are stored in the cloud and passively synchronized to one or more hosts. Egnyte, for example, uses a device hosted on VMware to perform local synchronization with the enterprise private cloud.

6. Sensitive data. Some organizations choose to localize sensitive customer data because of security issues or compliance with specific regulatory guidelines such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). At the practical level, static and transport encryption, more comprehensive service level agreements (SLAs), and other safeguards help to restore the confidence that sensitive data within the enterprise is stored in the cloud. But security is more a recognition of the actual process, and some companies find it more comfortable to localize sensitive data.

7. Synchronize the data. Although more and more possibilities exist to ensure that multiple copies of data remain consistent and in sync, sometimes the only guarantee is to have one copy regularly used locally.

Often, businesses put some data in the cloud and the associated data is localized. One of the main considerations if they have to synchronize their data is application-aware synchronization. If you are dealing with the data exists in the form of documents, it is not complicated. But complex databases, for example, must be synchronized according to the application.

The live database needs to be synchronized from the cloud through the participating applications. In many cases, these applications must be able to see the synchronization goals as a traditional file system or applications need to be extended to allow them to easily transfer data both inside and outside the cloud.

Large database. In some cases, hosting data instances remotely is not realistic or does not have any business benefits. For example, you may need to map a large database, but this database is just a database where many people visit multiple locations. On the other hand, cloud-hosted "big data" is better suited for data that needs to be accessed more widely, whether it's public or not, for data analytics or business intelligence.
