How cloud computing changes Enterprise capacity management

Capacity management is a plan for the enterprise so that critical applications and data have sufficient backup resources (such as servers, storage, and networks) to be used. So you need to plan well and build strong computing models to ensure that there is neither too much nor too little investment in your IT infrastructure.

But how will capacity management change in the emerging cloud computing world? I think of the following points.

Computing power is no longer determined by a group of users or a set of operational processes. In the cloud computing environment, each group of data is shared with the entire user through some kind of multiple client model. This makes the computational modeling process more complex.

Cloud computing can automatically allocate calculations based on requirements, so many aspects of the modeling process are no longer as important as they used to be. However, cost savings are the core driving force for users to use cloud computing, and the value of cloud computing is compromised if users use more computing than they actually need.

When needed, you can use cloud computing to provide a more cost-effective temporary calculation. This approach is called "cloud assault." But this calculation is hard to recognize, unless cloud computing can offer a cheaper "public" approach to computing.

The bad side: cloud-computing providers and companies ' use of cloud computing have made computing plans more complex. Both the construction method and the construction technology of the model need to be adjusted to adapt to this complication, but the level of many technicians really needs to be improved.

The good side: Over time, cloud computing providers will provide more computing monitoring and management services. Users have been calling for similar services, so it is reasonable for the service providers to improve the level of existing computing tools.
