The BYOD movement became a source of problem for IT specialists. Organizations are learning how to mitigate security and compliance issues, primarily when employees use personal mobile devices to access business applications. When BYOD's benefits and goals hamper the productivity advantage of cloud computing, things get a headache.

The mobile device (BYOD) strategy makes the cloud complex because it limits the ability of companies to deliver optimized applications to a single platform--the main benefit of cloud applications. However, there are ways to optimize the cloud, so businesses do not have to choose between two of cloud projects and BYOD.

Creating a BYOD-compliant cloud

BYOD's first casualty and cloud conflict is customized client software. Some users rely on graphical user interface tools or virtual desktops to create Employee data views, however, mobile devices provide limited support for specific application clients. It is unrealistic to expect client support for all major mobile device operating systems, such as Windows RT or Firefox OS, which may drive developers into many different directions. Instead, focus on and build a cloud computing environment that supports the ease of modern and rapidly changing BYOD business.

The first rule of building a BYOD-compliant cloud is the only one that is based on the application interface in the browser's thin client technology. This browser-based strategy means that you first have to make sure that the thin client is compatible with the cloud application. Next, you need to make sure that your environment supports all the devices you need to apply.

To build a browser-based BYOD cloud strategy, all applications must be exposed using URLs. Most modern software tools and almost all cloud services work this way, but legacy applications hosting may include non-standard interfaces on the infrastructure as a service (IaaS). Some companies also use Web services interfaces (using SOAP), which can be difficult to support on mobile devices, especially if you are unsure of a single device type.

Once your application is rendered as a URL, you can use the Web Editing tool to build the mobile device interface. Remember that not all browsers are the same; HTML and scripting are versatile and mobile browsers are also widely supported. A fast web search can find graphs to help you understand Web page properties, and you can expect to support mobile based cloud applications. Supporting HTML5, cascading style sheets (CSS) features, and simplified languages are the main issues.

Most companies believe that HTML5 is a long-term trend for thin client interfaces, and most mobile browsers support the basic properties of HTML5. However, HTML5 does not support a variety of database, device control, and productivity tool functions on specific devices.

Extending the support of mobile devices is an evolving process; Some experts believe that advanced HTML5 performance will be widely used by advanced scripting tools. The best strategy is to start with a basic HTML5, and let the BYOD device screen also support the expansion of the HTML5 feature, referring to older mobile devices, installing outdated operating systems, preferably focusing on the previous generation of HTML screens and using minimal scripting.

There are two options for browser support applications: The browser aggregates the page and accesses the personal URL, or aggregates the URL data using the Agent processor (the software in the server, the browser's role), and renders the data on a single screen of all browsers. The former allows better control over what HTML performance is used, while the latter provides better control over application and data integrity when events fail.

When a cloud processor creates a single virtual application for end-user assembly, the key is that any transaction can be completely processed or retracted for all elements. When the device has this response, a missing connection can cause the data state to not be synchronized.

Manage equipment and ensure enterprise data security

All cloud processing frameworks for BYOD include device management and ways to ensure the security of enterprise IT resources. The use of a URL-based device screen can make it difficult to manage and ensure device security, because you need to validate the device against the browser tools used in the cloud process, and to ensure that the device is safe.

One option is to use security or management tools on each device, provide access to data, and ensure device safety. But this depends on the usability of the user-defined device's generic utility; Your only option may be to check each vendor for compatibility.

Despite the problems, BYOD and clouds can coexist harmoniously. With the maturity of HTML5 support, it is likely that the performance of various mobile browsers overlaps will increase, which is one of the main problems BYOD to solve. By developing effective processes and planning for the future, organizations can build cloud strategies that support BYOD.
