Industry's first cloud operating system vsphere ushered in the latest upgrade version v4.1

VMware announced the launch of vSphere4.1 on July 13 to consolidate the fundamentals of cloud computing. The so-called consolidation of cloud computing can be broken down into 5 enhancements, one of which is "improving performance through open integration with the storage environment". According to Pagetagizad, director of the High Speed controller product line, "The CPU efficiency of the 10gbc-nics with iSCSI HBA offload is twice times higher than the CPU efficiency of the NIC with no iSCSI HBA uninstall capability." ”

Vsphere, lively as "the industry's first cloud operating system," recently ushered in its latest upgraded version---vsphere 4.1. The new version has not changed much in the core functionality and management interface compared to the 4.0 version, and VMware has added some enterprise-class features that are more suitable for midsize and large VMware based virtualization architectures and even cloud infrastructure architectures. VMotion: Enables the server to move across the cloud, resulting in a five times-fold increase in migration, and up to eight concurrent vMotion events can be performed concurrently between each pair of servers.

On the management side, VMware extends the vcenter product line.

VMware vcenter revisit Pret (that is, previous Emcionix creator Stack manager and EMC Ionix Server revisit Manager) ensures policy-based compliance and avoids configuration drift by automating manual configuration tasks across virtual and physical servers and workstations.

VMware vcenter Creator Discovery Manager (formerly EMC Ionix creator Discovery Manager) quickly and accurately maps the dependencies between applications. This accelerates data center migrations, accurately planning infrastructure consolidation, and ensuring the success of virtualization of critical business applications.

"VMware vsphere 4.1 is the best cloud infrastructure platform," Mr. Michael Warrilow, a senior product marketing manager for VMware Asia Pacific and Japan, said at a recent media briefing.
