Research on cloud data management indexing technology

The explosive growth of data has brought great challenge to the traditional relational database, which has met the bottleneck in the aspects of expansibility, fault tolerance and so on. While cloud computing technology relies on its high scalability, high availability and fault-tolerant characteristics, it becomes an effective scheme for large-scale data management. However, the existing cloud data management system also has deficiencies, which can only support the fast query based on primary key, because of lack of indexes, views and other mechanisms, so can not provide efficient multidimensional query, join and other operations, which limited the application of cloud computing in many aspects. This paper mainly studies the related work of index technology in cloud data management, and makes a comparative analysis, and points out its advantages and disadvantages. This paper briefly introduces the research work of multidimensional indexing technology for mass network data in cloud computing environment. At last, some challenges of large data indexing technology in cloud computing environment are pointed out.
