Video surveillance (cameras and surveillance) system is the core configuration of city security system, which consists of front-end camera, transmission cable, storage part and video monitoring platform. Camera has analog camera and network digital camera two, mainly used to collect front-end video image signal. Video surveillance system is an excellent system to prevent performance, at present, with its intuitive, accurate, timely and rich features have been widely used in many industries, occasions are fully used. In recent years, based on the progress of computer, network, image processing and transmission technology, the video surveillance technology has realized the development and promotion obviously. In the field of the practical application of IoT, it plays a very important role in the video monitoring system of the public Security Service in the city. The public safety and public order of a city is the basic condition of its sustainable development, and it is the government's duty and duty to ensure the public safety of the city. With the continuous development of society and the accelerating process of urbanization, the influx of population from all over the city, this phenomenon on the one hand for the city's development has injected a steady stream of vitality, on the other hand, the city security poses a huge threat and severe challenges. Under this condition, it is very urgent to solve the problem that the urban safety emergency guarantee technology, the complete function and the unified system, the accurate forecast of city safety, the scientific prevention and control and the effective emergency, are the problems to be solved. In view of the above requirements analysis, the video surveillance system has shown great market potential. This paper mainly completes the following aspects of work: 1. Video surveillance system hardware planning and design. Including front-end system, network construction scheme, storage system, monitoring center image display system. 2. Video surveillance system software planning and design. including system management platform, video quality diagnosis subsystem, intelligent video analysis subsystem. 3. Through the actual system testing, to prove the thesis planning and design of the application effect. Finally, the project is summarized and the development direction of the video surveillance system is prospected.
