During build 2012, we announced a new feature of Windows Http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/13357.html ">azure: Windows Azure Store. Windows Azure Store makes it extremely easy for you to find and purchase the advanced add-on services provided by our partners for your cloud-based applications. For example, you can use Windows Azure store to easily set up a MongoDB database in seconds, or quickly set up an analysis service like Newrelic to drill down into the performance of your application.
There are more and more applications and data services available in the Windows Azure store, and the list is expanding. Many of the services provided through the store include a free layer that allows you to try them very conveniently without any obligation. The services you ultimately decide to purchase will automatically be added to your standard Windows Azure billing-which allows you to add new features to your application without having to re-enter your credit card or install a separate payment mechanism.
Windows Azure Store currently faces 11 market customers: USA, UK, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Spain and Korea. In the next few weeks, we will expand the store to be available in more countries and regions.
Register for an add-in in the Windows Azure Store
Using an add-in from the Windows Azure Store partner, this is a very simple start:
1 Log on to Windows Azure management portal
2 Click the New button (in the lower-left corner) and select the Store item in it:
3 This will eject the user interface, allowing you to browse through add-ons available to all partners in the store:
You will see two categories of add-ons: app services and data. Expand each item to understand the service, and don't forget to look back at them often, because this list is growing fast!
4 Let's try a free app service from SendGrid that allows you to send e-mail in your application by using a rest API or SMTP server. Select SendGrid in the list and click the next arrow. This will show more information about SendGrid and various planning options. Note that they provide a free program that allows you to send 6,000 emails a month, and then when using more features and extensions, you need to pay for the plan:
5 Let's choose the free plan and click the next arrow. This will show the final screen-the cost of our purchase. In this case, it will not cost any money.
6 Click the "Purchase" button to complete the transaction (if it is-not a free schedule, this will automatically be added to your Windows Azure bill). Once you click on the purchase, SendGrid will provide you with an account and then you can use it. No additional registration/payment steps are required.
