According to the Xinhua News Agency, World Trade Organization Director-General Lamy said 24th, the economic crisis, world trade fell 12% last year, the biggest decline since 1945. Lamy unveiled the figure at a meeting in Brussels early that morning at the European Policy Center, a European Union think-tank.　　He said it was the worst record since the end of the Second World War. The WTO estimates that world trade fell more than 10% per cent last year, affected by the financial and economic crisis.
