Many people do not yet know that Windows 7 is used on virtual Pc,windows Server 2008 R2 and Hyper-V. VHD support how about that? Here is a brief description.
In Windows 7, run DiskPart
You can now create a blank. VHD file, the following command automatically creates a 16GB-size VHD file under the virtual folder (where the VHD file is placed, but you must first create a new folder).
Create Vdisk file=c:\virtual\win7.vhd type=fixed maximum=16000
The system takes a few minutes to do this, and on my machine, Windows 7 takes 10 minutes to create this file, and DiskPart will be prompted when it's done.
You can now install Windows 7 Beta into this VHD file. First, open the optical drive and put it into the Windows 7 DVD disc. Reboot the system and the BIOS is set to boot for the CD drive. Select your own language after Windows 7 Setup starts, and then press SHIFT+F10 to bring up the command prompt.
First look at the previous letter (this is D), remember the letter, and then enter the command:
diskpart
select vdisk file=d:\virtual\win7.vhd
attach vdisk
Close the command prompt and start installing Windows 7, select a custom installation, and in the partition table you can see an unassigned partition of 16GB size, select and start the installation.
