A problem with virtualbox
Prerequisites:
Computer Model: thinkpad x240
Operating System: ubuntu 14.04
Kernel version: 3.20.- 46-generic
An error is prompted when I open virtualbox. The error message is as follows:
Runtime error opening '/home/csm/VirtualBox VMs/Linux Mint. vbox' for reading:-102 (File not found .).
*********~~~~~~ (Path ignored) \ MachineImpl. cpp [685] (Machine: registeredInit ).
Result Code:
E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component:
VirtualBox
Interface:
IVirtualBox {c28be65f-1a8f-43b4-81f1-eb60cb516e66}
This is probably the case.
My solution
Now, if you look in the VM folder (where. vbox file is supposed to be) you will probably see. vbox-tmp or. vbox-new file instead. if either of these exists, then rename the extension. vbox. if and only if neither of those files exists, there shoshould be. vbox-prev file in the same folder which you can again change. vbox.
The general meaning is the golden virtualbox folder. my folder path is "/home/csm/VirtualBox VMs/rander" to see if there is a Suffix in this folder. vbox-tmp or. vbox-new and rename its suffix. box or check whether the suffix is. vbox-prev file, rename its suffix. vbox
I changed. vbox-prev to. vbox and I hope it will help you.
