Background

Deploy Windows MobileProgramDuring development, the shortcut menu is not generated by default. If you want to add the shortcut to the Start menu, you need to manually add the installation items.

This article describes how to add shortcuts to the Start menu when developing a Windows Mobile deployment project.

Implementation

1. Add "Start Menu folder ".

2. Add the shortcut cut under "Start Menu folder.

3. Select an application for the shortcut.

 

 

 

4. Modify the shortcut name. The name is displayed in the Start Menu.

The configuration is complete.

Effect

This is for Windows Mobile 6.5. The shortcut cut has been added to the Start Menu. However, the Start Menu of versions earlier than 6.5 only supports seven menu items. To add your program to the menu item, you must delete the original menu item, otherwise, the configuration above is invalid for machines lower than 6.5.
