Speed up the boot speed:
Enter "msconfig" in "Search programs and Files" in the Windwos 7 Start menu, and return to the System configuration program and switch to the Boot tab. In the lower-right section of an open window, modify the default value "30" in the "timeout" column to a smaller number (the article is modified to 5).
When modified, this means that Windows 7 is shortened from the default 30 seconds wait time to 5 seconds when powering on.
Speed down shutdown:
Windows 7 does not provide settings that directly modify the shutdown speed, and users need to modify the registry to implement
Run the registry, expand branches to Hkey_local_machinesystemcurrentcontrolsetcontrol, and then locate and double-click "WaitToKillServiceTimeout" in the right window. The default value in the pop-up window is "12000", which means that the shutdown wait time is "12 seconds" and you can enter the desired number according to your needs.
After you modify it, save the settings and take effect the next time you log on to the system.
