Install Windows 7 on an XP system (use a new hard disk)

1. Download the ISO image file for Windows 7 (7106) and copy it to a non-system disk (for example, D: \ 7106) using a Virtual Drive)
2. Copy the bootmgr and boot directories under the D: \ 7106 directory to the system disk (for example, C :) root directory, and create a new Sources folder under the system disk.

3. Copy boot. Win under D: \ 7106 \ sources to the Sources folder created on the system disk.

4. Run cmd as the administrator and enter c: \ Boot \ bootsect.exe/nt60 C:

5. restart the computer, automatically go to the installation page, and select the installation language.

6. On the "Start installation interface", click "repair computer" in the lower left corner to go to "System Recovery selection", select "command prompt", and enter the DOS window.

7. Enter D: \ 7106 \ sources \ setup. EXE to start installation.

8. Select the installation language and format the system disk. The installation will be completed automatically.
