Windows 2008 Operating system 32/64-bit installation is best to boot under PE, 64-bit installation 32-bit installation method is basically the same, but 32-bit installation omitted copy 32-bit bootsect.exe that step on it.
Using virtual optical drive software to extract 64-bit installation files to hard drives such as f:\x64\
Copy F:\X64\boot directory to C:\
F:\X64\bootmgr files to C:\
Again in C: New directory sources copy f:x64sourcesboot.wim file to this directory.
Find a 32-bit bootsect.exe and put it in C:\. Execute C:\bootsect/nt60 c under the cmd command:
Bootsect.exe is used to configure the startup environment, which is the boot menu. If you don't trust, you can replace it with the 64-bit bootsect.exe under the boot folder when you finish the command.
1, serial number is definitely required, restart will appear after Windows Setup, select the next step.
2, after the installation interface appears, then click Next>repair your computer (repair) >Next> finally click Command Prompt (Command prompt)
3, run the format c:/fs ntfs/q C disk, or
4, the input command "C:" (assuming the original XP installed in C disk)
Then enter the following command (if necessary, otherwise fail, personally experienced)
Del Bootsect.exe
Del bootmgr
del boot
Del EFI
del sources
(If the deletion fails, then the file is likely to be hidden, such as bootmgr, then you need to remove the hidden attributes and then delete: "Attrib-s-r-h bootmgr", try again.) Those subfolders are not to be regulated.
5, after the deletion, start installation: F:\x64\SOURCES\setup.exe
