How to configure hyper-V Virtual Network in Windows 8

With the Virtual Machine role enabled, your physical devices need to be shared to all virtual machines (your Windows 8 has also become a virtual machine, because it also needs to pass through the virtualization layer when using physical devices, of course, if hyper-V is enabled, your hardware supports virtualization. In other words, the performance loss is very low, so there is no need to worry about Windows 8 performance damage to enable virtualization .)

Because the CPU and memory allocation are all adjusted in the virtual machine settings, you need to consider the virtual switch before you start to use hyper-v, that is, change the physical Nic into a virtual switch, and then Virtualize a network adapter to the physical machine (as we have just said, your Windows 8 is already a virtual machine, of course, use a virtual network card ). It sounds complicated. How to change to a vswitch and configure a virtual Nic for Windows 8. In fact, I want everyone to understand the principle and write so much about it.

The actual operation is very simple.

On the VM console, select "vswitch manager"

In "create vswitch", select "external" and click "create vswitch"

For "name", select "external network" (otherwise, other machines and the Internet may not be connected). In the following list, select physical devices, such as a wired or wireless network card, yes. Here I select a wired Nic as a vswitch.

Then select "OK"

You are prompted to modify the NIC configuration, so the network will be temporarily interrupted for a while. Click "yes" to start the configuration. Just a few seconds.

You can verify that your physical NIC will change to a vswitch, and all configurations will disappear. There is only one protocol that is not available, and the hyper-V vswitch protocol is available, of course, do not tamper with it. If you are free to configure an IP address for it, you will find that both the host and the virtual machine network are abnormal, so do not change its configuration.

The configuration of the physical NIC will be copied to a new virtual Nic, so there is no need to worry about it. If you need to modify the dynamic IP address or static IP address, modify the "vethernet (the name of your virtual network in the brackets.
