The English version of Windows Vista RTM that has been circulating in this network cannot be installed on a hard disk. However, I am suffering from no such person as a DVD recorder.
Finally, on the vision forum, we can see that someone has successfully installed it from the hard disk, which is basically like this: you need to enter the winpe 2.0 Environment, and then run and installProgramYou can.
Procedure:
1. Load win PE 2.0 with a virtual optical drive, copy all to the C root directory, run cmd, enter the drive letter of the virtual optical drive, and enter bootsect/nt60 C:
2. Use the virtual optical drive to load the downloaded vista6000 image and copy all the files to the hard disk, such as D: Vista.
3. restart the computer, and you will see that the computer is started directly into winpe. a command line window appears, and enter:
C:
Bootsect/nt52 C:
Then, delete the following files in drive C (some files may be hidden. Run attrib-r-H-s before deletion)
Del bootsect.exe
Del bootmgr
Del boot
Del EFI
Del sources
4. Go to the copy vista6000 folder, such as D: Vista, enter setup to run the Vista installer, and then start and install it on the CD.
Note that you must perform step 3 after entering winpe. Otherwise, the startup configuration file cannot be updated during installation to the last part.
After installation, the original XP system can enter normally. There is a dual boot menu. I wish you all success!
