Install GoldenGate Director, goldengatedire
Oracle GoldenGate Director is a multi-tiered client-server application that enables
Configuration and management of Oracle GoldenGate instances from a remote client.
Oracle GoldenGate Director consists of the components shown in the following diwing.
In general, it is a tool that can monitor the status of goldengate processes. Here, my installation architecture is:
Oracle Goldengate Director Server/Client, weblogic installed on windows Platform
Install Oracle Goldengate on the linux platform
Overall Configuration:

Here we will not talk about the installation and configuration of goldengate, weblogic, and java.
Install Goldengate ctor Server:
Follow the prompts to go to the next step. At the database user step, you need to create the corresponding user on the oracle where windows is located.
Install Goldengate Director Client
Follow the prompts to proceed.
Start Goldengate ctor Server:
Go to the server Installation Directory
D: \ GG_Directorgg-director \ domain
Click startWebLogic
Start Goldengate ctor Client:
Enter D: \ goldengatector
Click: GDSC Admin Tool
The user password is:
Admin/admin
Server: windows IP address, and the port specified during installation
Select Data Source and configure monitoring goldengate
Fully Qualified Domain Name: Name of the server where the GoldenGate instance is located
Manager Port: MGR process Port Number of the GoldenGate instance
Data Source Name: in principle, you can enter any Name. We recommend that you develop naming rules.
Click Check-Connection to verify the Connection.
GoldenGate Info:
Host Operating System: Select WU (Windows/Unix)
Database: select the Database type. Select ORA for the Oracle database.
GoldenGate Version: 11.1.1.1
Click "Save" and then "Yes ".
Select the Data Source you just created from the panel on the left (only required when using ODBC connection) and fill in other information, including:
Default DB Credential:
DSN: database instance name or service name
Username: User Name
Password & Confirm Password: Password
Access Control:
Owner: Select admin, which indicates that the owner of the data source is admin. You can also select a user other than admin)
Select the "Host is Observable" option (this indicates that the data source is visible to other users or not selected)
GoldenGate Version: 11.1.1.1
Click "Save"
Log on to the web Monitoring Platform:
Http: /localhost: 7001/acon/loginForm. jsp
Username/password: admin/admin
The function is obvious. Try it. It is very helpful for companies with many goldengates configured. They can monitor the status of each process in each system goldengate at any time.
