1. What is UDDI Services
Universal Description Discovery and Integration (UDDI) is an industrial specification for publishing and locating information about WEB services. The Windows Server 2003 family product contains UDDI Services, an optional component that provides UDDI functionality to be used within an enterprise or between business partners. UDDI services are standards-based XML Web services that enable enterprise developers to effectively publish, discover, share, and reuse Web services directly through their development tools and business applications.
Based on the Microsoft. NET Framework, UDDI Services is a reliable and scalable solution that can be easily integrated with enterprise technology and tools. Information Technology (IT) managers can take advantage of the standard classification scheme, local support for Microsoft SQL Server and Active Directory authentication. As a service compatible with the UDDI 1.0 and 2.0 API, UDDI Services also includes a WEB interface that has been translated into all languages supported by the Windows Server 2003 family.
2. Installation "must be a version of Windows 2003 Standard version, must have IIS"
You may need to prepare a Windows Setup disk during Setup
It is best to ensure that the version of SQL Server 2000 is not installed prior to installation. It's actually a bit of a problem with this program. If we have installed SQL Server 2005 or higher, it is generally not possible to install successfully.
