Windows Live Messenger has been pretty hot lately. But very annoying is the new version of MSN with the old, with the advertising bar. You can go to the Internet to download patches to remove these ads. But I don't like to use patches, so I found a manual way to advertise on the Internet, this method is suitable for 8 series.
Locate the Msgsres.dll file under C:\Program files\msn Messenger, and open it with Reshacker or restorator.
To remove the Chat dialog box ad, open resource number 4004-920 to find the Id=atom (adbannergutter)
Change the layoutpos=bottom in front of it to Layoutpos=none.
To remove the main panel AD, open resource number 4004-923 to find the Id=atom (Ssconstrainer)
Change the layoutpos=top in front of it to Layoutpos=none.
To remove the search bar at the bottom of the interface, open resource number 4004-923 to find "Idsearchcontainer."
Change the top "Layoutpos=bottom" to "Layoutpos=none"
Remember to save when you are done.
By the way, delete the shared folder method:
Open the Windows Run dialog box and enter regsvr32 "C:\Program files\msn messenger\fsshext.dll".
