Redhat 6.5 & Windows configuration DNS server

Scenario Description:

A customer, the enterprise has more than one Linux-built DNS server, there are more than one Windows-built DNS server. A client wants to add a Linux DNS server to a "reverse lookup zone" on a Windows DNS server. As shown in the following:

Description:Windows DNS Server Setup was skipped and this article will focus on building a DNS server using Redhat 6.5.

Redhat 6.5 Setting up the DNS server environment description:

1. A Windows DNS server, computer name: dc01.contoso.com,ip:192.168.10.10

2. A Linux DNS server, computer name: linuxdns.contoso.com,ip:192.168.10.250

To start building a DNS server:

2. Installing Dns:yum Install Bind

4. To view the configuration file:

   Cd/var/named

   Ls

   Vim/etc/named.conf

   Configuration files such as:

8. To write a forward zone configuration file:

   Vim Contoso.com.zone

10. To write a reverse zone profile:

    Vim 192.168.10.zone

12. Check the configuration file for errors

    Named-checkzone contoso.com Contoso.coom.zone

    Named-checkzone contoso.com 192.168.10.zone

    If an error is found, you can use the following command to check if the error has an effect

    Named-checkzone contoso.com 192.168.10.zone; echo $?

    If the result is 0, it has no effect, and the non-0 has an effect.

14. Start Services: Service named start

16. Check, Ping linuxdns.contoso.com, dc01.contoso.com on Linux server

    If the ping does not work, check the firewall and shut down the firewall:

    Service IPtables Stop

    Iptables-f

    Iptables-l

    Gentenforce

    Setenforce 0

    Ping linuxdns.contoso.com, dc01.contoso.com on Windows Server
