Wireless technology is currently one of the most popular technologies. Wireless technology appears in almost all electronic design fields. At present, the market's close-range wireless communication technology mainly includes wireless LAN Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and some specialized standards (such as Adhoc Network) products. Some large companies are also actively researching and developing some new wireless networking communication technology standards, such as wireless USB, ultra-wideband Communication and WiMAX, to open up the market and application fields.
Today's most popular wireless technologies, applications, and specifications (see Table 1. Currently, popular wireless technologies include Bluetooth, CDMA 2000, GSM, Infrared (IR), ISM, RFID, UMTS/3 GPPw/HSDPA, UWB, WiMAX Wi-Fi, and ZigBee. The applicable frequencies, modulation methods, maximum distance, data rate, and application fields of Various wireless technologies are shown in table 1. Figure 1 shows the relationship between the distance between these wireless technologies and the data rate. As shown in figure 1, the higher the data rate, the shorter the working distance. Network technology can be used to expand the distance and maintain the data rate.

Currently, most cell phone development uses g technology, such as CDMA 2000, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, and their variations. UMTS/3GPP 3G cellular phones and systems are constantly emerging, but they are still part of the total market share. 3G is about to grow and will gradually increase in the future. VoIP over wi-fi and WiMAX will adjust this growth trend. In addition, multimode mobile phones will cover standard cellular phones and VoIP.
802.11 (or Wi-Fi) may be nothing new, but in any case it is booming. Standards continue to work to improve security and service quality, and network options are also being planned. High-speed 802.11n will adopt multi-input/multi-output technology to increase the speed to 100 Mbits at a considerable distance.
