Brocade announces more choices, greater flexibility and automation for customers deploying virtualization and the cloud IT infrastructure. Brocade announces the enhanced use of brocade VCs technology of the Brocade Ethernet Architecture series products. These improvements only improve scalability, virtual machine perception, further simplify management, and significantly reduce operating costs.
New components and enhancements include:
• New VCS technology extension to automate virtual machine discovery, configuration, and mobility in the Brocade Ethernet architecture.
Doubling the number of switches in the VCS architecture enhances the scalability of the Ethernet architecture, allowing customers to scale the data center network easily and quickly.
• The new brocade VDX 6730 Data Center switch, which seamlessly connects the VCs Ethernet architecture with the Fibre Channel San architecture, enables 10,000 gigabit Ethernet switches to protect existing SAN infrastructure investments.
• The new brocade VDX 6710 Data Center switch, which provides a low-cost entry point for the VCS architecture technology by connecting 1000 Gigabit Ethernet services to an Ethernet architecture environment and a typical data center LAN deployment.
• Unified management of the Brocade Ethernet architecture and other data center LAN, SAN, and application delivery infrastructure in a single enterprise application: Brocade receptacle Advisor
With these enhancements, Brocade delivers Ethernet architecture integration, combining brocade receptacle advisor with VMware vcenter Server virtualization and cloud management platforms, reducing overall network management costs and unplanned time. The Brocade VCS architecture combines Brocade receptacle advisor with VMware vcenter Server, allowing virtual machines running in Ethernet architectures to be automatically configured based on vcenter stored information. Also, when virtual machines move within the schema, their connection services are automatically maintained. Instead, most organizations need to manually configure the current legacy network for virtualized data centers, which can cause errors and time-consuming. This new VCS architecture reinforces the provision of secure connections to vcenter, eliminating these problems and helping to ensure consistency between server and network configuration.
Boko also reinforces brocade receptacle Advisor, the industry's only unified network management platform for IP and SAN environments, which enables all VCS nodes within the architecture to be managed as a single logical switch, simplifying operations. In addition, Brocade receptacle advisor can associate VMware port groups with ports on the schema and VMware vcenter server instances. These enhancements are designed to ensure a successful migration of virtual machines within an Ethernet architecture or across Ethernet architectures.
"Boko is famous for creating efficient data center networks," said Jason Nolet, vice president of corporate networks and Brocade data center. The Ethernet architecture based on brocade VCs technology is highly differentiated, providing unparalleled automation and simplicity compared to the outdated traditional network architectures. What distinguishes us is that we have over 15 years of expertise in building high-performance architectures for the world's most demanding data centers. With a second wave of Ethernet architecture, we have expanded our leadership position in this emerging technology sector and brought our customers greater agility through excellence in simplicity, automation, and reliability. ”
