Beijing time September 17 Evening News, Cisco (25.2,-0.02,-0.06%) announced today, will buy California private holding cloud services company Metacloud. Cisco says Metacloud's OpenStack cloud platform will accelerate Cisco's strategy to build the world's largest interconnected cloud (Intercloud) network. The deal is expected to be completed in Cisco's first quarter of fiscal 2015. Upon completion of the transaction, the Metacloud staff will be transferred to the Cisco cloud infrastructure and manageable services (CIMS). Metacloud's core product caron| The OS can operate on the enterprise's existing hardware, provide the enterprise built cloud as a service, facilitate the enterprise to build private cloud to provide self-service cloud application services to employees. Metacloud has been working on the OpenStack release for three years, bringing greater usability and visualization to OpenStack. This May, Metacloud completed the B round of 15 million dollar financing. So far, Metacloud has accumulated 27 million dollars in financing. (Li Ming)
