Recently, IDC and Microsoft published a global survey on the contribution of IT industry to the local economy. The study, commissioned by Microsoft in IDC, delves into the IT industry and economic situation in 52 countries and regions, comprehensively and objectively demonstrating its contribution to the country's gross domestic product (GDP), employment, corporate creation, local IT spending, and taxes. It spending in these 52 countries accounts for 98% of total global IT spending. The report shows that 2009 IT spending will be 494 billion yuan (71 billion U.S. dollars). From the end of 2008 to the end of 2013, it spending grew at an annual rate of 10.8%, while GDP grew at an annual rate of 7.7%. In China, software spending accounted for 7% of China's total IT spending in 2009. By the end of 2009 to the end of 2013, the IT market will generate more than 15,000 new local companies and create 1,667,000 new jobs. Most of the new companies are local small businesses, and new jobs are High-tech, high-quality jobs. In China, local partners in the Microsoft ecosystem will get close to 243 billion yuan (34.9 billion US dollars) in revenue. In order to earn these revenues, they invested nearly 76 billion yuan (10.8 billion US dollars) in the areas of development, marketing, training and sales. In 2009, Microsoft created 1 yuan in revenue, and other ecosystem companies would create an aggregate income of 16.45 yuan, a slight decline from the 2007 survey of 16.89 Yuan, but still far higher than in the developed world. In the seven years since the third High-tech recession that took place in 50 years, new technologies have sprung up, from new server and client devices, new storage and networking technologies, to newer software architectures and delivery patterns. These new technologies are emerging as computing models, including various cloud computing, cloud services, and dynamic it, which Microsoft calls software Plus services. According to IDC estimates, from the end of 2009 to the end of 2013, four years of cloud computing will bring global revenue of 800 billion of dollars of new business, to China's more than 1.105 trillion yuan (159 billion U.S. dollars) of new net business income.
