2. Make the interface elegant

The most direct form is to give the user a visual signal: there is something here. Of course the form can be straightforward or suggestive or even socially influenced.

Semantic symbols

1. Intentional semantic symbols

2. Incidental semantic notation

Unlike intentional symbols, they have no meaning on the surface.

4. Social semantic symbols
