On January 14, British fashion dealer Asos is about to release sales figures for the Christmas shopping season and revealed that the growth of the season was encouraging, mainly because of the rapid growth in the German market and good sales in the UK.
It is understood that ASOS in Germany participated in the TV series "Fashion Hero" production, and therefore opened the German market. The growth in the UK was due to a series of Android shopping apps that were released this quarter and added new look and river Island.
But Asos's situation in the United States is not encouraging, says Anne Critchlow, an analyst at Société Générale, who said Asos had been strategically contracted after entering the United States. Because it does not offer competitive prices for some American brands in the United States, it is now ASOS the United States stop selling brands such as Nike.
But Asos has already built its own warehouse in the United States to start selling American-branded goods locally, providing U.S. local users with a reasonably priced American brand.
Last year Asos stocks rose 160%, and Asos plans to reach 1 billion sales in 2015. Industry insiders expect ASOS Europe's overall sales to grow by 72% during the Christmas shopping season, compared with only 23% in other regions.
