November 4 News, according to foreign media reports, Google Chrome browser market share in October accelerated growth, nearly 25% milestone. According to the International web analytics company StatCounter's statistics show that October browser Chrome market share of 24.99%, behind the market share of 26.39% and 40.19% of Firefox and IE.
In October, the share of IE browsers fell, 1.47%,firefox fell 0.4%, while Chrome Rose 1.38%. Apple's Safari browser market share climbed 0.33%, accounting for 5.93%. While there is a forecast that Chrome's growth will strike a balance at some point, its share is still growing at an accelerating rate. This year alone, Chrome has grown 10.1% and has seen its fastest growth in six consecutive months as of October, up 6.7% per cent. At this rate, the average level of chrome market share is expected to overtake Firefox sometime this month, and will catch up with IE by 2012.
Over the past week, Chrome's market share has averaged 25.43%, compared with Firefox's 26.03%. Microsoft has not been too focused on this change in chrome, even though it has not been made public. Microsoft cited only data from the US Internet traffic monitoring agency net APPLICATIONSS and IE9 's share of the Windows 7 system. Microsoft says IE9 accounts for about 22% of the global Windows7 system, slightly ahead of Chrome and only behind Firefox. Microsoft's interest in browser market share seems to be quite different from Google's. Microsoft is trying to claim that IE9 is the coronation of the Windows 7 platform and is actively preparing to release the HTML5 model for Windows 8, and Google's goal is to gain overall market share to support the core revenue generated by its search engine.
