Microsoft has selected the Symphony service Company's Symtest service

Microsoft has selected the Symtest services of Symphony services to provide authentication services to independent software developers (ISVs) to make their Windows Server 2008-R2 platform ready to test software as a service (SaaS) or managed application.

The Symtest portal addresses the long-standing problems of independent software developers (ISVS) and effectively manages the validation and certification processes for their applications. The company says Symtest is a simple, secure, easy-to-use, real-time state-tracking portal.

The company added that the portal enabled Symphony to provide fast turnaround time (less than five working days) and that it accepted both gold and silver levels of request.

As the first service provider, the company is providing pass services to the first batch of 50 independent developers (ISVs) who register their applications and pay gold certification to March 2012 without increasing the amount of the cost.

"Microsoft has been looking for validation services partners for its SaaS platform-ready testing, ultimately finding symphony as the most appropriate option because of its track record in providing a test kit product, and its proven breadth and depth of understanding of Microsoft platforms and products."
