BEIJING, China, October 24, 2014--Global virtualization and cloud infrastructure leader VMware (NYSE:VMW) released its financial results for the third quarter of 2014:
Third-quarter revenues amounted to 1.52 billion dollars, up 18% from a year earlier in the third quarter of 2013.
Operating income in the third quarter was $242 million, which was affected by the takeover AirWatch, down 16% from the third quarter of 2013. Non-GAAP operating income in the third quarter was $460 million, up 5% from the third quarter of 2013, also reflecting the expected impact of the AirWatch takeover.
The third quarter net income of 194 million U.S. dollars, diluted after a share of 0.45 U.S. dollars, compared to the third quarter of 2013 261 million U.S. dollars net income reduction of 26%, diluted earnings per share of 0.60 U.S. dollars.
