IBM acquires cloud computing software test Platform Green Hat

Green Hat was created in 1996, and developers can test it by transferring their programs to the Green Hat cloud server. The software tested has TIBCO, webmethods, IBM WebSphere MQ, SOA, BPM, SOAP, rest, and some cloud computing applications, while testers can also virtual run some of the not-available applications and test application performance.

IBM believes that Green hat creates a virtual environment that can simulate various problems in the IT infrastructure, and that because of cloud computing, all are not bound by hardware or software services. This virtual test environment takes only a few minutes to build, and is only a small and small cost to developers.

According to IBM, software testing costs are above 50% of overall research and development costs, and the Test team spends nearly one-third of their time managing and maintaining those complex test environments. After Green hat joins the IBM Rational Software Department, it helps the blue giant reduce the software development costs, testing cycles, and associated risks of its enterprise customers.

Green hat Current customers include British Airways, H&M, T, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs investment group and Virgin Mobile and many other internationally renowned companies.
